The world doesn’t need more Good Christian Girls

The world needs unleashed women like Esther

Who despite her history as a girl trafficked into sexual slavery to the King

She owned who she was as Queen

And used her voice and position to confront the king

She spoke the truth

Even in the face of fear

Even in the face of death

👑

The world doesn’t need more Good Christian Girls

The world needs more brave women like Rahab

Who despite her history

Went against her culture and city

And used her voice

Her home and her resources

To hide spies for Team God

And believed God would come through

In the face of fear

In the face of threat

👑

The world doesn’t need more Good Christian Girls

The world needs more unleashed women like Mary Magdalene

Who despite her history of having seven demons

Was a devoted follower of Jesus

Not caring what others thought of her

She embraced her new transformed identity

And used her position to help fund Jesus’ ministry

👑

We don’t need more Good Christian Girls who hide their emotions

We need unleashed open-hearted women

Like the woman who washed Jesus feet with her tears

The text describes her as a woman who had lived a sinful life #relatable

Who boldly walked into the house of a Pharisee – a religious teacher – while they were dining

Whose heart was so open that she stood by Jesus

Overwhelmed with what – awe? Gratitude? Love?

She let her tears fall to his feet

Then knelt and wiped his feet with her hair

In front of the eyes of judgmental religious men

She no doubt felt overwhelming levels of shame

As they pointed out what she had done

However she deeply knew the immeasurable value of the man sitting in front of her

She no doubt felt love and compassion radiating from him

As she poured out extravagantly expensive perfume

And kissed his feet

Feet soon to be pierced for her

Not caring what the religious leaders thought of her

She vulnerably and open-heartedly displayed her affection for Him.

(I wonder should this occur in modern churches how she would be judged for how inappropriate, overly emotional and sensual she was being)

👑

No.

We don’t need more good Christian girls

Stuffing down their voices

Avoiding leadership

Pretending silence is godliness

And niceness is kindness

Holding everything together with a perfect facade

Avoiding their identity as Daughter of The King

We need women transformed by the truth

Being led by God

Powerfully speaking up

Vulnerably and open-heartedly facing the world

Bravely stepping into purpose

Without caring what others may think of them

It’s costly and frustrating to keep the good Christian girl facade going when you know you were born for more

When you feel him calling you into more for him

If you are finally ready to make the transition from Good Christian Girl to unleashed God-led CEO..

Not caring what anyone thinks of you except God himself
